Dr. Joe Webb

Dr. Joe Webb is one of the graphic arts industry’s best-known consultants, forecasters, and commentators, a 35+ year veteran of the graphic arts industries. His “Mondays with Dr. Joe” column has appeared at WhatTheyThink since 2003. Dr. Webb directs the WhatTheyThink Economics and Research Center and its data collection, analysis, and forecasting initiatives. He founded the market research service TrendWatch Graphic Arts in 1994, which was sold to Reed Elsevier in 2000. He has conducted many studies for associations including NPES, GAMIS, and others since 1990. Dr. Webb is a Ph.D. graduate of the NYU Center for Graphic Communications Management and Technology and holds an MBA in Management Information Systems and an undergraduate degree in Managerial Sciences and Marketing. He is also known for his books about the industry, notably “Disrupting the Future” and “Renewing the Printing Industry,” among others.

Dr. Webb is co-author of “UnSquaring the Wheel,” a management process for business transformation in the industry. He is co-founder of the UnSquaring the Wheel tax-exempt non-profit organization that develops, delivers, and expands the leadership concepts of the book in training and coaching programs.
